Director-General of GES engages GNAT, NAGRAT, CCT-GH and TEWU

The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES), Professor Ernest Kofi Davis, has engaged in a meeting with three teacher unions, namely the Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers-Ghana (CCT-GH), as well as the Teacher Education Workers Union (TEWU).
This meeting, which took place on February 12, 2025, is part of the Director-General’s stakeholder engagement plan, aimed at fostering cooperation and mutual understanding with key stakeholders at the pre-tertiary level. By listening to the concerns and ideas of these unions, Professor Davis seeks to promote a spirit of collaborative leadership.
The engagement is particularly significant, as these unions represent the voices of teaching and non-teaching staff at the pre-tertiary level. This move demonstrates the Director-General’s commitment to working closely with stakeholders to address the challenges facing the education sector in Ghana.
This meeting follows the Director-General’s earlier interactions with other stakeholders, showcasing his dedication to inclusive leadership. As part of his plan to connect with all key stakeholders at the pre-tertiary level, Professor Davis is engaging in a series of stakeholder meetings.
