The management of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has issued a directive suspending all staff members from reporting to work, effective Monday, February 24, 2025.

This decision, announced in a press statement on Friday, February 21, 2025, is a result of unresolved legal and administrative issues pertaining to employment and salary payments.

According to the management, exhaustive efforts have been made to resolve concerns surrounding staff employment. However, the intricacies and legal implications of these issues have rendered it impracticable to utilize operational funds for the payment of monthly staff allowances. Consequently, all employment matters must undergo the requisite legal processes to prevent further complications.

The management has emphasized that until these issues are comprehensively addressed, only specific staff members whose services are deemed essential may be requested to resume their duties.

Furthermore, all staff members in possession of NEIP property are required to return such items to the HR Officer by close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Failure to comply with this directive will be regarded as deliberate misappropriation of NEIP property.

The management has assured staff members that updates will be provided as efforts continue to resolve the situation.
