The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Menzgold gold-dealership, Nana Appiah Mensah, commonly referred to as NAM 1, has urged customers to acquire a Menzgold Digital Verification Access Card priced at GHC650. The purpose of obtaining this card is to authenticate their transactions.
NAM1, in a statement he personally endorsed, explained that this verification card is designed to facilitate the examination of transaction statuses for customers who possess legitimate claims of indebted transactions.
Customers who held accounts with the gold-dealership, which has since ceased operations, and intend to assert their claims, are strongly advised to submit authentic, digitally scanned copies of their transaction-related documents. This submission window will be open from August 10, 2023, until September 14, 2023.
The statement underscored the importance of this measure by highlighting that a substantial majority, specifically over 60%, of the claims received thus far have exhibited unacceptable discrepancies that render the associated claims void.
NAM1 stated that this approach enables the company to conduct meticulous due diligence on customers with outstanding liabilities, ensuring that any forthcoming disbursements are made with careful consideration.
Furthermore, the statement included a cautionary note for customers who opt not to undergo the verification procedure:
