The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reaffirmed its commitment to holding former government officials accountable for alleged corruption.

According to Johnson Asiedu Nketia, National Chairman of the NDC, the party will investigate and prosecute corrupt officials from the previous administration, ensuring that no individual found guilty of corruption escapes justice.

Asiedu Nketia emphasized that the NDC government will uphold accountability and openness to curb corruption in the public sector and safeguard the rights and interests of Ghanaians.

He specifically mentioned that former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, who has been declared a fugitive by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP), will be held accountable for his actions.

The NDC’s commitment to accountability is part of its broader effort to restore transparency and trust in government. Asiedu Nketia’s statements come ahead of the December elections, and his warning to security officers suggests that the NDC is prepared to take a strong stance against corruption and impunity.

Key aspects of the NDC’s accountability plan include investigating and prosecuting corrupt officials, upholding transparency and openness, and holding former officials accountable.

The NDC will thoroughly investigate allegations of corruption and ensure that those found guilty are held accountable. The NDC government will prioritize transparency and openness in its dealings, ensuring that Ghanaians have access to information and can hold officials accountable.

The NDC will not shy away from holding former officials accountable for their actions, including those implicated in corruption scandals.
