The National Service Authority (NSA) has officially released PIN codes for 9,082 trained teachers from 24 Colleges of Education across the country, enabling them to begin the registration process for the 2025/2026 National Service Year.

A total of 16,159 trained teachers were submitted by 36 Colleges of Education for upload into the NSA system. However, 7,077 candidates remain unprocessed due to the failure of their respective institutions to submit the necessary cover letters. Until these documents are provided, their details cannot be incorporated into the system.

Of the 9,082 successfully uploaded trained teachers, 5,336 are from institutions with expired accreditation, while only 3,746 are from institutions currently holding active accreditation, as recognized by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Presently, only 14 of the 36 Colleges of Education maintain valid accreditation, while 22 institutions have yet to renew their accreditation status.

In line with the NSA’s commitment to compliance and transparency, registration for prospective personnel from institutions with expired accreditation will be put on hold until their accreditation is duly renewed with GTEC. The Authority urges affected Colleges of Education to engage GTEC promptly to resolve their accreditation issues to facilitate PIN code activation and registration for their students.

A detailed list of affected institutions is provided in Appendix A, while Colleges of Education with active accreditation are outlined in Appendix B for public reference.

PIN Code Access and Registration Procedure

Eligible service personnel can retrieve their PIN codes by visiting the NSA portal at https://www.nss.gov.gh.

To activate their PIN codes, candidates must complete payment as follows:

GHS 40 – Payment at any ADB branch

GHS 41 – Payment via Mobile Money (MoMo)

Once payment is completed, candidates may proceed with the registration process.

Registration opens today, February 14, 2025, and will close on February 28, 2025. Prospective service personnel are strongly advised to complete their registration within the designated period to avoid delays in deployment.
