Renowned music producer and CEO of Highly Spiritual record label, Kaywa, has chosen to entrust his former label signees to God after they abandoned him, despite his significant investments in their careers. Artists like Kurl Songx, Yaw Berk, Krymi, Keche, Lasmid, and Mr Drew were once signed to his label, but they decided to part ways, causing heartache after the label had invested time, money, and energy in their success.
Kaywa shared in an interview that he prefers not to curse or speak ill of the artists who left. Instead, he sees himself as building national assets and takes pride in the impact he made in their careers. He acknowledged the challenges of signing artists, particularly the problem of poaching, where individuals or other record labels entice artists away with tempting offers.
He appealed to poachers to collaborate with original record labels rather than approaching artists through backdoor channels. When asked about the possibility of working with his former artists again, Kaywa made it clear that once an artist leaves Highly Spiritual, there is no comeback. However, he remains committed to nurturing new talent and making a lasting impact on the music industry.
