The Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has given assurance that the water supply to Ho and its surrounding communities will be fully restored. This assurance comes after significant progress was made in repairing and testing key components of the water system.
Volta Regional Minister, Mr. James Gunu, recently visited the Kpeve Headworks, where he received updates from GWCL engineers, led by Mr. Francis Lamptey, General Manager of GWCL in Ho. The engineers reported that considerable progress had been made in repairing and testing the water system.
During the visit, Mr. Gunu emphasized the importance of access to clean water, stating that it is a fundamental right. He reiterated his commitment to working closely with stakeholders to find lasting solutions to the water crisis.
In a related development, GWCL Managing Director, Mr. Adam Mutawuakilu, reassured the public that coordinated efforts with engineers were underway to restore the water supply. He confirmed that repair work on the faulty pump was in progress, with plans to restore the water supply by the coming weekend.
