The Ghana Education Service (GES) has issued an important directive to all Regional Directors of Education regarding the entry and uploading of 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates’ school choices.

This process, involving both public and private school candidates, commences on October 12, 2024, and concludes on October 16, 2024.

According to Mr. Prince C. Agyemang-Duah, Acting Director of the Schools and Instructions Division of GES, candidates must log in to the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) online portal at (link unavailable) using their Date of Birth (DoB) as the password. Through this platform, candidates will select and finalize their preferred schools.

Regional Directors have been tasked with ensuring prompt communication to Metro, Municipal, and District Directors of Education. These officers will collaborate with District Examination Officers to oversee the timely and accurate uploading of candidates’ choice files.

The GES emphasizes strict adherence to the timeline to avoid delays or complications in the school placement process. Parents, students, and educational stakeholders are urged to note these dates and follow prescribed procedures for a successful placement outcome.
