Economy | National SSNIT increases monthly pensions by 12% for 2025

The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has announced a 12% increase in monthly pensions for 2025, benefiting all pensioners on its payroll as of December 31, 2024.
This increase is comprised of an 8% fixed rate and a flat amount of GHΒ’72.58, which is the remaining 4% to be redistributed.
The redistribution aims to cushion low-earning pensioners, ensuring the minimum monthly pension rises from GHΒ’300 in 2024 to GHΒ’396.58 in 2025, representing a 32.19% increase. Approximately 63% of pensioners, those earning GHΒ’1,814.50 or less monthly, will receive effective increases between 12% and 32.19%.
