Mark Sasu, National Coordinator of the Computerized School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS), has announced that the eagerly awaited 2024 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) school placement results will be released a week prior to October 30, 2024.
This strategic timeline ensures seamless transitions for graduates to commence their second-cycle education without undue delays.
The CSSPS Secretariat, under Sasu’s guidance, is diligently working to meet the stipulated deadline, notwithstanding the time constraints. To facilitate a smooth placement process, the Secretariat requires five essential datasets: school register, master file, choice file, vacancy file, and results file.
Notably, this year’s placement exercise encompasses four distinct categories of students: regular, private, foreign, and re-entry. A total of 569,236 candidates from 19,505 Junior High Schools participated in the examination, including students with visual, hearing, and other impairments.
To safeguard the integrity of the placement process, the Ghana Education Service, TVET division, and Minister of Education have collaborated with security agencies to prevent potential fraud.
As students and parents eagerly anticipate the placement results, the CSSPS Secretariat’s commitment to transparency and efficiency is reassuring.
