How to Do Reposting: 2024 GES Recruitment

2024 GES Recruitment Update
The 2024 Ghana Education Service (GES) recruitment process is progressing smoothly. This year, GES introduced a self-placement system where applicants can choose their preferred schools from the available options on the portal. However, not all candidates received their top choices since GES only provided schools with vacancies. Consequently, many candidates ended up selecting schools far from their desired locations, leading to a significant number of applicants wishing to request reposting.
How to Request Reposting
Currently, there is no ongoing reposting process. The Ghana Education Service has restricted district and regional directors from facilitating reposting for applicants. If you wish to request reposting, you must directly contact the GES Director.
However, once the recruitment process is complete, you will have the opportunity to transfer to your preferred school, provided there is a vacancy.
How to Do Self-Placement
- Visit the GES Promotions Portal: Start the self-placement process by visiting the portal.
- Verify Your Qualifications: Enter your College Index Number to check your eligibility.
- Provide Accurate Details: Enter your phone number and National Teaching Council (NTC) number for verification.
- Receive OTP: An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to your phone.
- Enter OTP: Input the OTP you received to proceed.
- Choose Your Placement: Select your preferred Region, District, and School, then submit your choices.
- Save and Print: Save and print your Appointment Letter and follow the next steps.
This new system aims to eliminate the need for physical visits to regional offices, making the entire recruitment process smoother and more convenient for all applicants.
NOTE:
Dr. Eric Nkansah, the Director General of the Ghana Education Service, has clarified that placements will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. According to Dr. Nkansah, over 12,700 graduates are eligible to choose their preferred regions and government basic schools where they wish to teach through the portal.
