The National Education Forum, scheduled to take place soon, will provide a platform for stakeholders to discuss critical issues affecting Ghana’s educational sector.

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) has announced its intention to participate actively in the forum.

As a major stakeholder in the education sector, GNAT will use the forum to highlight the pressing issue of funding shortfalls.

The association will emphasize the need for adequate funding to support the effective delivery of education in Ghana.

The financial constraints facing Ghana’s education sector are a major concern. According to Thomas Tanko Musah, GNAT’s General Secretary, the association will draw attention to the severe impact of funding shortfalls on various aspects of the education system.

Musah also expressed concern about the growing levels of indiscipline in some Senior High Schools. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive review of disciplinary systems and called for a renewed focus on character development and values-based education.

The National Education Forum provides a unique opportunity for stakeholders to come together and propose sustainable solutions to the challenges facing Ghana’s education sector.

By addressing the root causes of these challenges, it is possible to create a more effective and efficient education system.

Ultimately, the success of Ghana’s education sector depends on the ability of stakeholders to work together to address the challenges facing the sector.

The National Education Forum is an important step in this process, and GNAT is committed to playing an active role in shaping the future of education in Ghana.
