A viral video has surfaced showing a young man who is believed to be a thief receiving a ride on a motorbike while being surrounded by a group of riders. The riders proceed to whip and beat him from all directions. The video, shared on Twitter by @Wel_Beckk on July 17, has sparked various reactions among users.

The incident took place in an unknown location in Ghana, and the exact reason for accusing the young man of theft remains unclear. The video does not reveal where he was being taken or what ultimately happened to him.

In the footage, the young man can be seen screaming and struggling as he tries to alleviate the pain by rubbing his hands over his body. The attackers appear to take pleasure in beating him while surrounding him with numerous moving motorcycles, leaving him with no chance of escape.

Recent reports indicate a rise in petty theft and armed robbery incidents. Some attribute this increase to the worsening economic crisis in the country, which has made life challenging for many young individuals.

Ghanaians on Twitter have expressed mixed reactions to the video. Some believe that the harsh treatment was justified, given the frustration caused by the difficult economic situation. However, others have condemned the incident as an act of extrajudicial punishment.
