11,000 Security Personnel to be Recruited: No New Applications Accepted
The government has announced a significant recruitment drive for 11,000 personnel across various security agencies. This includes the Ghana Immigration Service (GIS), Ghana Police Service, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Prisons Service, and the National Narcotics Control Board (NACOB).
Starting this week, the recruitment will focus on clearing backlogs of previously submitted applications. No new applications will be accepted.
Recruitment Breakdown:
- Ghana Immigration Service (GIS): 3,000
- Ghana Police Service: 4,000
- Fire Service: 2,000
- Ghana Prisons Service: 1,500
- National Narcotics Control Board (NACOB): 500
Financial clearance has been granted for the recruitment process. However, it has been decided that no advertisements will be placed in national newspapers inviting applications. This recruitment phase will only address the backlog of existing applications.
